Liverpool's next 5 fixtures compared to Arsenal as Premier League title battle resumes
The next few weeks are likely to prove pivotal in the Premier League title race, as we inch closer to the finish line.
In fact, by the end of February - just five weeks away - all top-flight sides will have played 27 games, meaning there will be just 11 left. It’s why the next couple of game weeks could prove decisive.
Liverpool faces a kind run of fixtures over the next month or so, with three of the next four Premier League matches coming against sides currently in the bottom five. That sequence begins on Saturday with a home clash against Ipswich Town.

Then Arne Slot’s side face a tricky trip to Bournemouth next weekend, a ground where Arsenal and Manchester City have slipped up this season, before the rescheduled final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on 12 February.
While the game certainly feels winnable, that David Moyes is now back in charge and the Toffees beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 last time out means it now certainly looks a more challenging fixture.
Four days after and Liverpool hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers before heading to the Etihad a week later to face the reigning champions. Who knows which side Liverpool will face in the latter game, the Manchester City who demolished Ipswich or the side that blew another midweek Champions League lead.
It’s also worth noting that Liverpool has four cup matches in that four-week period - two in the Champions League and one apiece in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. Between 25 January and 26 February, the Reds face nine games in just 33 days.
In comparison, Liverpool’s nearest rivals Arsenal have just seven games in that period given it was eliminated from the FA Cup in the third round and doesn’t have to squeeze in a rescheduled fixture.
The next five Premier League matches are also relatively kind, although on paper seem more difficult than Liverpool’s.
The Gunners travel to Wolves on Saturday and then face Manchester City at the Emirates. Arsenal enjoys a 10-day game in the middle of February before facing Leicester City away and then West Ham United at home. February wraps up with a daunting trip to City Ground and a possible title clash against Nottingham Forest.
With Liverpool leading at the top of the table by six points - and with a game in hand - Arsenal will need to take close to maximum points to maintain any sort of title race.
