Liverpool's next fixtures compared to Premier League title rivals after shock Plymouth Argyle defeat
Liverpool only have a couple of days before they're back in action. After crashing out of the FA Cup fourth round to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday afternoon, the Reds must now turn their attention to the Merseyside derby.
Everton will host Liverpool at Goodison Park on Wednesday night in what is expected to be a fiery clash. The Toffees have been revitalised by the appointment of David Moyes, winning three of their last four Premier League games.
While Everton have been in superb form, Arne Slot has rested a lot of big names for the heavyweight bout – and he'll be desperate to return to winning ways. So, with that being said, the Echo has looked at Liverpool's upcoming fixtures and how they compare to their Premier League rivals.

Everton (A) – Premier League – Wednesday, February 12
With Everton set to move into their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer, this could be the final clash between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park – and both sides will be desperate to win the bragging rights. The Merseyside derby was initially pencilled on for December 7, 2024, but the game was postponed because of Storm Darragh.
Wolves (H) – Premier League – Sunday, February 16
Liverpool will be delighted to be finally back on home turf, but they won't have long to prepare. The fixtures are coming thick and fast, so Slot could be tempted to rotate his starting lineup.
Manchester City (A) – Premier League – Sunday, February 23
After a busy start to the new year, Liverpool will have a week or so to recharge their batteries before a huge game. In recent years this tie was branded a title showdown, but nowadays Manchester City are competing for a place in the top four.
Newcastle United (H) – Premier League – Wednesday, February 26
Liverpool are back in action a few days later, welcoming the Magpies to Anfield. Newcastle United struggled at the start of the season, but they've grown into a formidable outfit who could cause the Reds a few problems.
Southampton (H) – Premier League – Saturday, March 8
Southampton have been rock bottom of the Premier League for much of the season. Liverpool will be eager to pile on the misery in what could be a heavily one-sided affair.
