Loïc Badé confirms his stance on transfer after £25m Aston Villa bid
Loïc Badé has confirmed that he will not be joining Aston Villa during the January transfer window.
Villa are looking to replace Diego Carlos following his transfer to Fenerbahce and have reportedly bid £25million for Badé. But the French centre-back has informed Sevilla of his desire to remain in Spain and went public on Saturday evening after scoring against Espanyol.
“I’m staying at Sevilla, yes. I fully trust this project,” Badé is quoted as saying by Get Spanish Football News.

Villa will now have to look elsewhere to reinforce their back-line. Pau Torres will be sidelined until March with a foot injury, leaving Unai Emery with just two recognised centre-backs in Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings.
Emery has strengthened his defence with the acquisition of right-back Andrés García from Levante, while Dutch winger Donyell Malen has also joined from Borussia Dortmund. Badé won’t be joining them at Villa Park in this transfer window.
