The Philadelphia Eagles weren’t the only ones to get a ring on Super Bowl night!

Eagles fan Collin Thomas pulled out his own bling to pop the question to longtime girlfriend Aida Antonetti right after their favorite team won the big game at Reale's Restaurant & Bar located in northeast Philadelphia.

"She thought they were cheering because the Eagles won the Super Bowl. But when she turned around, that's when I popped the question," Thomas told CBS News Philadelphia.

Antonetti told the outlet that she was shocked and didn’t expect the surprise. She recalled, "I was speechless for a minute or two. My sister had to tell me, 'Girl, get up!' "

Video captured of the event and shared with CBS News Philadelphia showed Thomas getting down on one knee in his Eagles jersey and holding out a box with the engagement ring inside. Antonetti, in an Eagles jacket, could be seen looking shocked for a few moments before saying yes and sharing a kiss with her future groom.

In another clip, Antonetti held out her hand out to show her square-cut diamond ring on a pave set to family and friends as her new fiancé stood up on a chair to celebrate the engagement.

"She got her ring before the Cowboys got their ring," he joked to CBS News Philadelphia.

Thomas told CBS News that they met 11 years ago — before his future bride became a football fan. Though, he noted, "it didn't take long for her to convert," and the pair made it a tradition to watch Eagles games together.

"When I get the ball and hand it off to her, we both got the ball. That's called a team partnership," said Thomas, using sports terms to explain their relationship.

Antonetti chimed in, "He's always been loving and caring, and nothing changes that.”

The couple told CBS News Philadelphia that they plan to keep the celebration going on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14, which is also when the Philadelphia Eagles parade is set to take place in the heart of the city.

"We're determined to go," Antonetti said. "I don't care how early we have to get up!"

The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday, Feb. 9 at Super Bowl 2025, leading to massive celebrations throughout Philadelphia.
