Louie Barry reveals Unai Emery instruction after sealing another Aston Villa transfer
Striker Louie Barry returned to Aston Villa from Stockport County in the January transfer window with breaking into the first-team firmly on his mind - but manager Unai Emery, for the time being, had other ideas.
Villa continued their process with Barry, who set League One alight in the first half of the season and topped the goalscorer rankings of the entire division before he was summoned back to Bodymoor Heath having clearly demonstrated that the third tier was a level he had already accomplished.
Barry trained with the first time for the brief period he was back at Villa, and had hopes he might impress the management enough for a crack at the first-team. Another loan, this time in the Championship, was on the cards, however, and Barry ultimately joined Hull City where he joined manager Ruben Selles, who he was impressed by when encountering former club Reading.

"I fell in love with the club but I went back into Villa," Barry told Sky Sports. "My main goal is to obviously play for Villa, there has been nothing else in my head. Unai said to go out on loan. There were a couple of options but I knew the way Ruben and the staff worked from when I played against Reading and I really liked it.
"I had a conversation with him about how he sees me playing. Sometimes managers can tell you things you want to hear and then you watch the game it's completely different, but I watched their game against Sheffield United and everything he said to me was right and they won the game 3-0. So I said 'yep, get me signed!'"
