Luis Diaz celebration showed what he thinks of Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool goal
Liverpool enjoyed a fine start in North London as Arne Slot's side raced into an early lead at Tottenham after an impressive first-half from the Reds.
Two headers from Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister gave the Reds the lead, while a momentary switch-off by Liverpool's backline gave Tottenham the chance to get back into the game with a goal from James Maddison. However Dominik Szoboszlai returned Liverpool's two-goal cushion following an incredible counter-attack on the stroke of half-time.
Whilst the goals will certainly be a talking point, the assist for Diaz's goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold will be looked at fondly, especially by the Colombian himself.

Diaz was given redemption for last season's VAR controversy after Alexander-Arnold's pinpoint cross found the strikers run to give Liverpool the lead. And the 27-year-old showed how much he appreciated his right-back during his goal celebration.
Diaz pretended to shine Alexander-Arnold's boots in a joyous moment between the pair as he made it clear he believes Trent's right foot has the magic touch. It emphasized the importance of the England international in the team.
The 26-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season and there currently has been no breakthrough in talks to renew his deal. The assist for Diaz shows the quality the Scouser has on the ball which will be difficult for the Reds to replace if he does leave.
Liverpool.com says: The Reds were exceptional in that first half and have really troubled Tottenham. Trent really shown his quality for that first goal, his crossing ability has been vital to Liverpool's success. No wonder Diaz wanted to shine his boots!
