Luke Littler Premier League Darts opponents revealed as Luke Humphries and six more included
The eight-man line-up for 2025 Premier League Darts has been confirmed. The 17-week event is set to start at The SSE Arena, Belfast on Thursday, February 6 and end at The O2, London on Thursday, May 29.
Fresh off the back of his historic first World Championship title, Luke Littler has been included as one of the eight Premier League players. The 17-year-old romped to the Sid Waddell Trophy at Alexandra Palace on Friday, beating Michael van Gerwen 7-2. In the process, Littler claimed £500,000 in prize money and moved up to second in the PDC Order of Merit.
Also in is world no.1 Luke Humphries. ‘Cool Hand’ suffered a surprise last 16 exit at the hands of Peter Wright in the World Championship but that had no impact in his global ranking heading into the Premier League - and goes in as one of the favourites having lost to Littler in the 2024 final last May.

Van Gerwen, ranked as the third best player on the planet, has been an ever-present on the Premier League stage - featuring in the last 11 - and he has been included once again. ‘The Green Machine’ has won the invitational tournament on seven occasions, with his most recent coming in 2023 after thrashing Gerwyn Price 11-5.
Rob Cross, like Humphries, didn’t have the World Championship he would have been hoping for, after he was dumped out in the second round to Scott Williams, but he is in the Premier League. ‘Voltage’ finished sixth last year and his best run came in 2019 when he reached the final before losing to a rampant Van Gerwen 11-5.
Having enjoyed a memorable run to the semi-final at Ally Pally, Fazakerley-born and crowd favourite Stephen Bunting is set for his first-ever Premier League appearance. ‘The Bullet’ was impressive in 2024 and he has the chance to step into the limelight once more. Bunting’s walkout song - Titanium by David Guetta and Sia - has caught the attention of fans and viewers alike and is set to continue in recent months.
Chris Dobey, who reached the semi-final at Ally Pally before losing to Van Gerwen 6-1, is set for a return to the Premier League for the first time in two years. ‘Hollywood’ finished seventh in 2023 and is no doubt going to excite fans, especially in Newcastle, on his return to this stage. Dobey is ranked 10th in the world following his run at the World Championship.
Another player in the Premier League is Welshman Gerwyn Price. ‘The Iceman’ enjoyed a resurgence in the World Championship after a disappointing 2024 and reached the quarter-final before losing to Dobey. Price has played in the Premier League six times, reaching the final in 2023.
The final player in the eight-man line-up is Nathan Aspinall. 'The Asp', who endured a difficult 2024 after suffering with dartitis, was impressive at the World Championship, reaching the quarter-final and is in the Premier League. Aspinall finished fifth last year and previously reached the final five years ago, losing to Glen Durrant.
