Luke Littler's finals day schedule in Winmau World Masters darts tournament
ALL eyes will be on world champion Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler as he bids for glory in the first major darts event of the new season on Sunday.
The Warrington 18-year-old has been in sparkling form so far in the Winmau World Masters in Milton Keynes, reaching the quarter-finals without conceding a set.
His 3-0 destruction of Belgian Andy Baetens in less than 11 minutes in the first round was bettered by his walloping of James Wade 4-0 in the Marshall Arena on Saturday night.
Next up is Welshman Jonny Clayton for the right to compete in the semi-finals.
It will be their first televised meeting on stage.
In this tournament Clayton has already shown two sides of his game, coming back from 3-1 down to defeat Ryan Searle 4-3 in the last 16 while the night before he was sensational in scoring the greatest average (112.77) the Masters has seen - in its various guises since starting in 1974 - when he defeated German Martin Schindler.
The pair will be due on stage around 3pm on Sunday for the third of the afternoon’s four quarter-finals.
Whoever of the two progresses, they will feature in the second semi-final on Sunday night at 8.15pm and will have little rest before the final at 9.30pm.
