Luke Shaw has issued a message to Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United's draw with Liverpool.

United earned a point in a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Merseyside club at Anfield in the Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon. Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo scored the goals for the Reds in the draw to end a run of four consecutive losses in all competitions.

Fernandes captained United in the draw against Liverpool and provided the assist for Martinez's goal which opened the scoring for the visitors. After the game, Fernandes posted a message on social media without a caption but did include several photos from the stalemate at Anfield.

The Instagram post received more than 130,000 likes and many comments, one of which came from Shaw. The United left-back sent a four-word message to his club captain which praised his teammate.

"You are so good," the comment from Shaw read. The message from the left-back itself also received several hundred likes on Instagram.

Shaw was not part of the United squad that travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool, with the left-back currently on the sidelines due to injury. Shaw has been restricted to just three appearances for United this season after suffering from a calf injury in the first few months of the campaign.

United's win over Everton on December 1 was Shaw's last appearance before suffering from his recent injury blow. It remains to be seen when the 29-year-old will return to the United matchday squad, with Diogo Dalot currently starting at left-back in Shaw's absence, as has been the case for large portions of the season.
