Liverpool travel to high-flying Bournemouth on Saturday and Arne Slot has multiple key decisions to make. Several changes to his team are expected after the head coach fielded a heavily-rotated side in midweek Champions League duties.

A busy January saw Liverpool play eight matches in a 25-day period - four weekend and four midweek matches, competing on all four fronts with no rest in between. By the time the last of those fixtures came around - the last European league phase assignment with round of 16 qualification already secured - something had to be done.

Slot left Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Luis Diaz at home for a week of rest. Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones also remained back in Liverpool with injuries.

The match against PSV Eindhoven ended a 3-2 defeat, though as Slot rightly pointed out beforehand it was of little consequence as either first or second place in the Champions League standings were guaranteed to face one of the same four opponents in the next stage.

Of the starters at the Philips Stadion only two kept their place from the prior weekend - they were Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson, who were respectively brought off with 51 and 64 minutes played.

Judging from these decisions, Slot was always expected to name a strong, refreshed starting line-up at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday. He is going to need to now the Cherries have beaten Newcastle 4-1 and Nottingham Forest 5-0 in their last two outings, throwing the gauntlet down as European qualification challengers this term.

The latest Instagram post from the club themselves gives hints as to who may be part of that strong line-up.

The Reds' official matchday graphic unfolds over two slides, presenting what could be presumed to be ten selection hints. The first part contains Gravenberch as the centre star, suggesting the midfield maestro will play a huge role.

Alexander-Arnold joins him, which would mark his return to the team, then interestingly both Gakpo and Robertson feature. Given their early removal from the action in Eindhoven it is not a huge surprise, especially in Robertson's case as left back competitor Kostas Tsimikas played the full match on Wednesday.

Moving across to the second slide, Salah and Van Dijk are the two prominent stars. They are joined by Szoboszlai, Diaz, Konate and Mac Allister as six more who could return to round off the ten huge hints dropped by Liverpool.

With all outfield positions accounted for, the only one left would be who starts in goal. Barring any late shock, Alisson would surely be expected to reclaim his place from Caoimhin Kelleher without fuss.

And so, the team would look like this: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Diaz, Gakpo.
