Major Middlesbrough transfer boost as top target deal confirmed after patient wait
MIDDLESBROUGH have secured the crucial signing of Mark Travers, with the Bournemouth goalkeeper joining on loan until the end of the season.
It's a vital piece of business for the Championship promotion chasers, who were left with Tom Glover as their only senior keeper after Sol Brynn and Seny Dieng both suffered serious injuries in recent weeks.
Travers was identified as the top target and Boro were patient in their pursuit of the 25-year-old, waiting for Bournemouth's third choice keeper Will Dennis to recover from injury before the Cherries sanctioned the move.

Travers is a four-time Ireland international and has previously won promotion from the Championship, when he kept 20 clean sheets in a hugely impressive campaign.
He travelled north to Teesside on Tuesday night before completing his medical today. And the deal has now been confirmed.
Travers has made five Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season, with his most recent outing coming against Chelsea earlier this month in the absence of the ineligible Kepa Arrizabalaga. Kepa arrived on loan from the Blues in the summer and established himself as Andoni Iraola's first choice at the Vitality Stadium.
Travers will be available to make his Boro debut against Sunderland on Monday.
