Aston Villa owner Nassef Sawiris is reportedly considering leaving the UK following recent tax reforms.

Sawiris currently resides in London and is often seen at Villa Park or at away grounds in the capital. He is now said to be exploring options in the US and in Europe as potential new homes.

It comes after Egypt's richest man announced his plan to 'redomicile' his NNS Group family offices from London to Abu Dhabi in December 2023.

Bloomberg now claim that the 63-year-old is considering leaving the UK because of tax changes being brought in under the Labour government, although sources told the financial outlet that he may still change his mind.

Due to the government's budget adjustments, some of the wealthiest individuals in the UK are facing significant changes to their tax obligations.

Sawiris, who bought a 55 per cent controlling stake in Villa in 2018 alongside fellow billionaire Wes Edens, has an estimated net worth of around £6.35billion by Forbes.
