Manchester City have confirmed their latest winter transfer window signing.

Vitor Reis has arrived after City agreed to pay Palmeiras a reported £30million initial fee for the teenage centre-back. The 19-year-old is the second central defender to join the reigning Premier League champions this week.

Abdukodir Khusanov completed a move from Lens on Monday, reportedly costing City around £34million. Both players have signed four-and-a-half-year contracts with the club and trained together on Tuesday before their Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, although neither is eligible to play on Wednesday night. City are one of several Premier League clubs that have already made multiple signings this month.

According to Transfermarkt, Pep Guardiola's side has contributed over a third (around £64m) of the £183million spent by top-flight teams. They also look to take their outlay into triple figures and the league's past the £200million mark when announcing the arrival of Omar Marmoush.

City are said to have agreed verbally to sign the Egypt international over the weekend for a reported £67million fee. Confirmation of that transfer is expected this week following a medical with the player already in Manchester. Therefore, City will likely have signed three new players before Arsenal announce even one arrival.

football.london understands the club are actively trying to sign a forward before the window closes. Mikel Arteta has also acknowledged that they are looking to sign a striker.

However, it appears unlikely at this stage that the Gunners will have any deal done before the weekend's visit to Wolverhampton for the club's next Premier League match against Wolves, let alone their penultimate Champions League game of the league phase with Dinamo Zagreb. Arsenal then play Girona next Wednesday, while their final fixture ahead of the window closes is against, of all clubs, Man City, when Marmoush could debut.
