Manchester City and Eintracht Frankfurt have signed all of the documents needed for Omar Marmoush to complete his move to the Etihad Stadium.

And it is now considered a matter of when and not if the Egyptian international forward signs for the Premier League champions.

It is expected the 25-year-old will join up with his new City team-mates ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea and he will add much needed competition up front for top goalscorer Erling Haaland.

Marmoush, who joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg 18 months ago, has 20 goals and 14 assists to his name in 26 appearances across all competitions this term.

The Blues have this week completed deals for Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras for a total of more than £60million. Both defenders joined in training with their new club on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League tie with PSG on Wednesday night, but they were ineligible to feature at the Parc des Princes.

City are hopeful all three players will be available for selection as they look to beat Chelsea on Saturday to leapfrog Enzo Maresca's side in the table to move back into the top four of the Premier League table.

They could also secure the signing of teenage defender Juma Bah from Real Valladolid this month, with reports suggesting the 18-year-old could join French side Lens on loan for the rest of the season.

However, City have been accused by Real Valladolid of being behind young defender Juma Bah's decision to terminate his contract with the Spanish club.
