Man City and Pep Guardiola left stunned by Tottenham loanee after outrageous goal in FA Cup tie
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Donley continued his impressive loan spell at Leyton Orient with a superb goal in the FA Cup against Manchester City.
The forward joined the League One side in August on loan until the end of the season to continue his development away from North London. After struggling to find the back of the net up until Christmas, Donley has made a name for himself in the last six weeks.
He scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win at Barnsley in December and has followed that up with four goals and four assists in his last eight league games.

Donley continued his fine league form in the FA Cup against English champions City with a remarkable goal. After Orient won the ball on the halfway line, the 20-year-old attempted an audacious lobbed effort from just inside City’s half.
Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega did his best to scramble back to his goal but the ball struck the crossbar before rebounding off the German. The goal, unfortunately, has been recorded as an Ortega own goal.
JAMIE DONLEY. THAT'S INCREDIBLE.

It’s the latest of a catalogue of fine finishes from Donley during his loan at Brisbane Road. The England Under-19s international is under contract at Tottenham until 2027 having signed an extension in March 2023.
Donley’s senior debut came in the 3-3 draw at Man City in December 2023, coming off the bench for Brennan Johnson in injury-time.
Ange Postecoglou pathway for academy players, as seen with Mikey Moore, could be the perfect one for Donley at the end of the season if he continues his fine form.
