Manchester City are reportedly progressing on the transfer front almost a month a week after the winter window opened.

The club announced their first move on Monday, with Issa Kabore leaving Benfica to join Werder Bremen after barely playing in Portugal since arriving during the summer. Claudio Echeverri will also join the squad for the rest of this season - much like Maximo Perrone did 12 months ago - after staying an extra six months at River Plate, but only after playing for Argentina at the South American Under-20 Championship.

Regardless of Pep Guardiola's side returning to winning ways on either side of the New Year, more incomings will seemingly follow. Here is a round-up of the latest City transfer reports...

Marmoush 'only wants' City

Omar Marmoush is reportedly a player City are considering trying to sign this month. The Telegraph claims the Egypt international will cost around £50million some 18 months after arriving on a free transfer from Wolfsburg.

Their report comes a day after Sky Switzerland claimed Marmoush had held meetings alongside his representatives with City's management that he only wants a move to the Etihad Stadium. However, they report that any deal could be for next season rather than this month.

According to the outlet, Arsenal and Liverpool are being linked, too, with the former contacting the player. However, the latter seemingly only sees Marmoush as a successor to Mohamed Salah.

Ederson replacement 'shortlist'

City are said to be prioritising signing a successor to Ederson, with three goalkeepers named as options. Foot Mercato claims the trio all play in Serie A: Michele Di Gregorio, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Zion Suzuki.

The former is reputedly the foremost of those three, and contact reportedly happened late last year with Juventus. However, there is apparently a reluctance to sell only six months after the goalkeeper joined on loan from Monza in a deal that they are obligated to make permanent for around £15million this summer.

City also reportedly watched Milinkovic-Savic and Zion Suzuki play when Torino hosted Parma in Turin over the weekend. Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also seemingly suitors for the latter.

£33m offer made

Lazio have reputedly received a £33million offer for Nicolo Rovella from Manchester City. The Italian newspaper Il Messaggero claims the club's president, Claudio Lotito, has a crucial decision to make regarding the player's future in Rome. Sport Witness relays that City were willing to pay around £25million two years ago when Juventus signed the midfielder.

The Turin clubs spent more than £20million then but loaned Lazio the Italy international before the start of last season in a deal that has a conditional obligation to buy the 23-year-old. Before that, he spent time on loan at Genoa and then with Monza.
