Man City picked up their first win of pre-season with a comfortable victory over Chelsea. Erling Haaland, who had been an injury doubt for the game, was the star of the show and scored a brilliant hat-trick. City played a number of youngster, with 14 senior players missing from their US Tour squad, but they held their own and Oscar Bobb also found the net.

Chelsea, in contrast, looked shaky at the back and new boss Enzo Maresca will be concerned given the Blues host City in their opening Premier League game in two weeks. Chelsea were sloppy playing out from the back and they were victims of their own downfall by giving the ball away too cheaply. Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling were two positives, however, as they came off the bench to find the net.
