Man City vs Liverpool: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

The Premier League is back with a bang this weekend as Manchester City host Liverpool.

It is the first game back after the final international break of the season and once again sees the two jostling for top spot.

City went into the break with a chaotic draw away at Chelsea and have since dealt a number of injury problems. They lead the way over the Reds by just a single point as things stand and can claim a statement win against a big rival.

Still, Liverpool look back to something approaching their best. After such a poor campaign last time out, Jurgen Klopp’s side have lost only once in the League this season and a title challenge appears to be building following a resounding 3-0 win over Brentford.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Man City vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off time on Saturday 25 November, 2023.

The Etihad Stadium in Manchester will host.

City are dealing with a number of injury problems. Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Gomez are long-term absentees but there are other issues causing concern.

Erling Haaland is suffering with a football problem sustained over the international break, as is Ederson. John Stones is facing a race against time after a knee issue and Nathan Ake is another who missed the draw with Chelsea.

Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes are also carrying knocks.

For Liverpool, Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch are early doubts, although their respective issues are thought to be minor. Curtis Jones could also return while Kostas Tsimikas has calmed fears over his fitness.

Manchester City vs Liverpool prediction

Much is dependent on the team City are able to field but Liverpool do not have a good record at the Etihad Stadium. Still, Klopp’s side are full of goals and City can be exposed, as was shown against Chelsea.

A 2-2 draw.
