Man United ace reaches 'secret' transfer agreement with Ruben Amorim deal set to be completed
After nearly two years of injury hell, Tyrell Malacia will leave Manchester United this window, according to reports. The 25-year-old has only recently returned to playing following a nightmare spell out.
Malacia didn't play a single game last season due to a knee problem that required surgery twice. And despite being one of the few names in Ruben Amorim's squad that looks like a natural fit for the left wing-back spot, it is claimed that his stay at Old Trafford is coming to an end.
Dutch reporter Joost Blaauwhof says that it has been confirmed Malacia will depart for the rest of the season in order to continue his development. By that stage he will have just 12 months left on his initial four-year deal at the club and there is no suggestion that an extension clause will be triggered.

It has not yet been revealed where Malacia will be heading to but Amorim is described as giving the green light to a six-month exit. He has, Blauuwhof says, already agreed to join a top European side.
A permanent exit in the summer has not been ruled out either. United signed Malacia for just over £10million in 2022 as one of Erik ten Hag's first arrivals.
His injury-hit spell since has seen market value plummet, though, with United turning instead to Diogo Dalot in an unfamiliar spot on the left side. Luke Shaw, another player suited to the wing-back system when fit, has also been plagued with injuries for the last two years.
Malacia played the entirety of extra-time in last weekend's penalty shootout win over Arsenal but has otherwise only managed to complete 45 minutes in his only two Premier League appearances so far. Amorim took Malacia off at the break in the 2-0 and 3-0 defeats to Arsenal and Bournemouth last month.
He played briefly fr the Under-21 side in the EFL Cup as well as making progress towards a return in the Europa League. Malacia has been unused of left out in the last four Premier League matches.
