Man United dealt Dani Olmo free January transfer blow as six-month offer made
Manchester United's chances of signing Dani Olmo in the January transfer window have been hit with a potential blow following news of a potential bid.
Olmo joined Barcelona in the summer from RB Leipzig after his impressive displays at Euro 2024 with Spain. He has scored six goals in 15 appearances for the La Liga side but wage restrictions in Spain mean they are unable to register him.
The alarming situation has seen many clubs show interest in the playmaker. Chelsea and Manchester City have both been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford also mentioned.

However, any move to the Premier League could be out of the window with AC Milan moving first to sign Olmo. According to reports, the Italian side are ready to test the water with a tempting offer.
CdS (via Football Espana) have claimed that Milan's offer includes them matching his wages at the Nou Camp on a six-month deal. The thinking is then that he will return to Barcelona in the summer, when they are able to register him.
Barcelona may be able to register Olmo before the January transfer window closes should they sell players. Reports in Spain claim they could look to cash-in on Raphinha in an attempt to bring Nico Williams to the club.
The Spanish side aren’t expected to accept defeat in their legal case to keep Olmo for the second half of the season. However, should they continue to be denied, a move for the attacking midfielder is expected to materialise.
