Manchester United came from behind to confirm their spot in the FA Cup fifth round on Friday night with a 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Leicester took the lead through Bobby De Cordova-Reid after Andre Onana initially saved Wilfred Ndidi's effort. Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench to equalise before Harry Maguire headed in a last-minute winner - despite being in an offside position.

Ruben Amorim's men continued their struggles at Old Trafford with Ruud van Nistelrooy's side the better of the two teams for the most part of the game. "The goal was offside," the United boss admitted.

"We had to believe until the end but this game has nothing to do with the time of Fergie. I think the performance, we have to do so much better with the ball, without the ball.

"We didn’t have any energy in the beginning, especially in the first half. Then in the second half we played a little bit better, with a little more speed, winning second balls."

The reaction in the United dressing room was more upbeat, though, with the players celebrating the late win on social media. Match-winner Maguire posted three pictures of him celebrating his goal alongside a caption that read: "Last minute winner at the Stretford End *red love heart emoji* *love-struck eye emoji*."

Noussair Mazraoui added: "Through to the next round! Let's keep fighting. Onto the next one, thanks for the support!" Alejandro Garnacho, who came on at half-time, was named Man of the Match and the winger posted an image of him with the award.

Immediately after the win, Manuel Ugarte posted a screenshot of him on FaceTime to Lisandro Martinez from inside the changing room. Martinez missed the game due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury and watched the FA Cup win from the comfort of his own home.
