Man United hit by major Bruno Fernandes injury scare as worrying picture emerges
Manchester United have been hit with an injury scare ahead of Wednesday's trip to Arsenal after Bruno Fernandes was spotted wearing an ice pack following their 4-0 win over Everton.
Ruben Amorim's side thumped the Toffees on Sunday, and Fernandes was at the heart of it, grabbing two assists while Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee both scored twice on a fine afternoon's work at Old Trafford. The victory is Amorim's first in the Premier League and moves United up to ninth.
However, Fernandes gave United a major worry towards the end of the game after he limped off before being pictured with an ice pack around his ankle. The Portuguese was replaced by Alejandro Garnacho and walked to the dugout before being treated by the United medical staff, who gave him the ice.

Fernandes looked 'frustrated' after he was taken off, which has raised concerns over his availability ahead of the clash with Arsenal on Wednesday. If the 30-year-old misses the trip to North London, it will only be the second-ever game he has sat out due to injury since joining United in January 2020.
His fitness is remarkable, with Fernandes clocking 252 appearances in almost five years following his switch from Sporting CP. Speaking about his incredible injury record back in March, Fernandes said: "I just have to be grateful for my father and my mum because they made me the right way, the strong way.
"They've been here for the last two games and they give me that extra energy, with my kids and my wife, they always take care of me. My wife does a great job at home to give me as much rest as I can. It’s difficult when you have two kids at home and they want to play. My youngest one wants to play football all the time, but I get my rest, my naps, everything I need, because she’s there to help me. Part of this record is my family."
As for United, they have made a positive start to life under Amorim after he replaced Erik ten Hag as their new permanent head coach. United were held to a 1-1 draw with Ipswich last weekend before beating Bodo/Glimt 3-2 and then thrashing Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford.
