Man United icon shares heartwarming Sir Alex Ferguson encounter after major decision
Former Manchester United attacker Luis Nani has posted a heartwarming picture with iconic manager Sir Alex Ferguson, following the Portuguese international's retirement from professional football.
The 38-year-old called time on his playing career at the beginning of December following a short stint with Estrela da Amadora in Portugal's top flight. The Premier League-winner made 230 appearances for United, scoring 41 goals and providing 71 assists as he was apart of the golden era at Old Trafford that won four league titles, two League Cups as well as the Champions League and Club World Cup.
Following on from the landmark career decision from Nani, he was visited by the man who brought him to Manchester and the Premier League in his native country this week.

Taking to Instagram, the 38-year-old wrote: "Delicious breakfast - this time in Portugal - with the great and special company of Sir Alex Ferguson. Amazing time, great memories. See you again soon, Boss."
Nani signed alongside Brazilian midfielder in 2007 for a combined £30million, and went on to spend eight years at the club before he joined Fenerbahce, following a short loan spell with former club Sporting CP.
The winger has previously claimed that he was scared of Ferguson initially, he said in 2020: "At the beginning, I was very scared of him. Like a father, you know? To make a mistake or do something wrong.
"But I was scared of him until I learned to understand and was able to express myself. My English has never been perfect or is going to be, but at that time it was worse than now and when he found I could speak more with him, he started coming to me and giving me more attention.
"And from then, I learned more about Sir Alex Ferguson. What he wanted to do, who he was and the relationship started to be better."
