Man United legend Roy Keane gives perfect I'm A Celeb response after Ian Wright request

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane gave a blunt reaction when asked about going on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! During the half-time coverage of England's 5-0 win over Republic of Ireland at Wembley, the conversation took a turn in the ITV studio from the football, to matters in the jungle.

After Keane offered a scathing view on Kyle Walker's challenge, presenter Mark Pougatch then asked Ian Wright: "Do you think we should get somebody in the jungle?" The 24th series of I'm A Celebrity is set to start on Sunday night at 9pm BST, with the likes of Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and Coleen Rooney, wife of United legend Wayne, expected to feature on the reality TV show.

And that sparked ex-Arsenal and England forward Wright - who finished eighth in the 2019 series of I'm A Celebrity - and Pougatch to hint that Keane should step into the Australian jungle in the future.

Pougatch said: "A pointer towards the new series of I'm A Celebrity which starts tonight here on ITV 1 at 9pm - five years to the night where we gathered in Kosovo to watch Ian Wright walking a plank a long way up."

Wright replied: "That was scary, so scary."

Pougatch responded: "Do you think we should get somebody in the jungle [hinting at Keane]?" to which Wright said: "I think he should go in. My friends James Haskell and Nadine Coyle went in and it was the greatest things that has happened to them. Other than that, not a lot of sleep and not a lot of food. That’s all I remember."

Pougatch and Wright then both appeared to stare at Keane, but he was not giving any answers away. The Irishman, who tried to keep his mouth shut with a grin on his face, then, however, was heard saying: "Not for me."

England ran out comfortable 5-0 winners over the Republic of Ireland to top their Nations League group thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Anthony Gordon, Conor Gallagher, Jarrod Bowen and Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
