Now Marcus Rashford has expressed his desire for a new challenge away from Manchester United, Ruben Amorim should be on red alert to search for his replacement.

It is hopeful that should Rashford exit the club, he will do so for a significant fee. Anywhere between £40m and £50m is expected before the forward is allowed to leave but those funds have already been earmarked for a number of different uses.

Therefore, from Amorim's perspective, he knows he will need to spend his money carefully and anywhere that money can be saved is a bonus. Fortunately, there is a young striker in the United academy who is making waves this season and will be knocking on the door for a promotion soon.

Chido Obi-Martin may only be 17 but it was already seen as a big blow when Arsenal lost him to United in the summer. Since then, the Dane has scored seven goals in as many matches and is already proving why Ineos were keen to bring him to the club.

Not only is Obi-Martin's size striking (he is comfortably one of the tallest players every time he enters the field), his strength and eye for a finish will be exciting Amorim. Rashford may well be a left winger by trade but in an Amorim system, he would have been utilised centrally, either as a No.10 or a centre-forward.

There is no need to change Obi-Martin to fit Amorim's system though. He is ideal for the lone striker role as he showed in the 5-0 thumping of Coventry City in the FA Youth Cup.

His first showed his impressive one-on-one abilities but it was is second that will please Amorim. First, his hold up play was exemplary as he won a foul on the edge of the area.

Obi-Martin would then dust himself down and fire home an impressive free kick to wrap up another good display. United will not want to rush the teenager into the limelight in the same way Rashford was pushed into it out of necessity.

But what it does show is that the next Rashford is always just around the corner and the beauty for United is that he won't cost them any extra.
