Man United transfer set to be blocked as player flies in to seal deal
Marcus Rashford's potential exit from Manchester United could be blocked by a deal involving Manchester City.
Rashford's future at United has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks. The 27-year-old has not featured in any of United's last nine matches across all competitions, with his last appearance coming on December 12 against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
Several clubs have been credited with an interest in signing Rashford in recent weeks, which would be on loan until the end of the season. The Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that Rashford is taking part in extra training sessions and is determined to remain at the club, having previously expressed a desire to seek a "new challenge".
AC Milan are one club that has been linked with a move for Rashford this month. An update has emerged, though, claiming that a switch to Italy may not be on the cards.

Sky Sports have reported that Milan did have an interest in signing Rashford on loan, but may not be able to sign the United star. This is because that the Serie A club are closing in on a deal to sign Kyle Walker from City, with the 34-year-old travelling to Italy to complete the move.
Walker has not featured in any of City's last three matches after Pep Guardiola confirmed the England international had expressed a desire to leave the Etihad Stadium. With the right-back close to moving to the San Siro, it seemingly means that Rashford will not be joining his compatriot.
The report claims that Milan only have room for one more player from a non-EU country, which would affect any player from England and the rest of the UK. Serie A clubs are only allowed to register two non-EU players during each transfer window, which includes only one from England.
This would mean only one of Walker or Rashford can be signed by Milan before the February 3 deadline. With Walker seemingly closing in on a move to the Serie A giants, the possibility of Rashford going to the San Siro is becoming more unlikely.
