Manchester United flop Antony will rival Kylian Mbappe for the La Liga Player of the Month award after his extraordinary return to form.

The Brazilian winger has scored three goals and assisted once for loan club Real Betis since he arrived in January. He has also clinched three man of the match awards in four games as his stunning turnaround has left Red Devils fans scratching their heads. As well as the Real Madrid superstar, Antony will also compete with Barcelona maestro Pedri, Athletic Club's Oihan Sancet and Osasuna's Ante Budimir for the award.

The 24-year-old recently revealed why he is in such good form declaring he has "found" himself again in a recent TV interview. The Manchester United loanee explained: “The most important thing is that I have found myself again. I am happy to be enjoying myself every day. Things go well when we are happy, content. I was playing little, but I have been working a lot. I needed to be happy with myself. The best version of being happy with myself is the most important thing.

“I played very little in Manchester, but I am grateful to them and also to the coach, who spoke to me. I have also done very well in Manchester; I won two titles, and I am very grateful. But when I say that here, I have found myself, happiness, the people are like us in Brazil. The sun helps a lot. I am very happy here. Every day I wake up with a smile and that is very important.”
