Ruben Amorim has confirmed his team as Liverpool prepares to host Manchester United at Anfield today.

The Reds are big favorites to win against their great rivals, with Arne Slot’s side sitting a staggering 23 points ahead of United before kick-off. They can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points with victory today after Arsenal dropped points against Brighton on Saturday.

United, though, is currently trying to move away from the relegation zone, with their new boss having admitted they could face a battle against the drop this season. They are currently languishing in 14th, and a win today would only see them move up to 12th.

While Slot’s team was very predictable, Amorim’s is anything but, with his side having lost five of its last six league games. Much of the attention recently has been on Marcus Rashford, who found himself banished from the side until returning to the bench against Newcastle.

He doesn't make United's squad today though, although Bruno Fernandes is back in the starting line-up following his recent suspension.

The Portuguese captains the visitors and returns to midfield, where he's joined by Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte, with Joshua Zirkzee, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen dropping to the bench.

Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez all start, with Amorim expected to play his usual back three, with Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot acting as wing-backs. Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund provide the attacking threat for United, who are looking for just their third away win of the season.
