Liverpool are set to be forced into a change in the dugout ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

The Reds remain seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table but endured a frustrating night in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

Indeed, Liverpool were pegged back to a 2-2 draw with Everton after James Tarkowski’s brilliant late goal survived a VAR check.

As if that wasn’t dramatic enough, tempers flared at full-time.

Curtis Jones confronted Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure for appearing to taunt the Liverpool supporters at the full-time whistle and the heated exchange caused a brawl between the two sets of players.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot was also sent off by referee Michael Oliver, along with assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff.

The two were furious about the decision to award Tarkowski’s goal, with Liverpool believing it should have been ruled out due to a shove in the build-up.

It means both Slot and his assistant will serve a touchline ban, starting against Wolves on Sunday.

Former Everton defender John Heitinga joined Slot’s Liverpool coaching staff at the start of the season and is now likely to be in the dugout for Sunday’s clash at Anfield.
