Managing Tottenham: Kolo Muani decision, Tomori deal, Eze offer and shock Chelsea interest
Tottenham have already made one signing in the January transfer window, but Ange Postecoglou will be expecting more. Antonin Kinsky became the first new arrival of the winter window, joining Spurs in a £12.5million deal from Slavia Prague on Sunday.
The Czech keeper will add competition for Fraser Forster and now Brandon Austin in goal in Guglielmo Vicario's injury absence, with the 21-year-old then expected to challenge the Italian for the No.1 jersey too.
The goalkeeper position was one of a number of areas that needed strengthening this month, given the injury and availability issues at the club. But there are other areas that are in desperate need of reinforcements too.

Spurs have only one fit central defender currently and even then Radu Dragusin has been struggling with injury and illness himself in recent weeks. Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies are all sidelined, with Archie Gray having to fill in at centre-back.
Postecoglou also has issues up front, with Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison all sidelined for a lengthy period of time. Moore is on his way back and could be on the bench for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash with Liverpool on Wednesday, but there remain big holes to fill.
With that in mind, we thought we'd have a go at managing Tottenham as football.london looks at the key decisions Spurs need to make in the January transfer window.
Fikayo Tomori deal
Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has been linked with a return to the Premier League having fallen out of favour at AC Milan. The centre-back has played just 13 minutes of action since the start of October, having initially been almost a mainstay of the defence at the start of the campaign.
He has Premier League experience under his belt and is a homegrown talent too, which would help with Spurs' contingent. He has been linked with Juventus and Newcastle as well as Spurs and given his lack of game time would probably welcome a move in January.
Given Tottenham's struggles at the back, a player of Tomori's quality would be a shrewd piece of business for around £25million.
Randal Kolo Muani decision
Dominic Solanke needs help up front in the absence of Richarlison and a player like Randal Kolo Muani, who can play across the frontline, may just be what's required.
However, is he the solution to Spurs' problems? After impressing in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, Kolo Muani has hardly set the world alight when it comes to his Paris Saint-Germain career.
There are rumours of a loan move, rather than a permanent deal and that could suit both parties, with Spurs not having to stake too much on the Frenchman hitting the ground running. With Timo Werner already on loan at the club, they would have to make a decision on him though and the next player we've got on the list as Premier League rules only permit two loan players being registered at the same time.
Another player with Chelsea connections
Spurs could do with some more cover at left-back, given Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies are both on the treatment table. And that could see them tap up a London rival for a player.
Ben Chilwell has been bombed out under Enzo Maresca and appears to have no future in west London. Tottenham could offer him a route out, either on loan or on a permanent deal.
Chilwell has been linked with Spurs in the past and could reignite his career, even in a short-term loan deal, if Spurs were to come calling.
Jonathan David move
While Kolo Muani has struggled to hit the heights in Ligue Un, Jonathan David continues to impress in France. The Canadian, after finishing last season as the second-top scorer in the division behind Kylian Mbappe, is now leading the charts this year with 11 goals in 16 appearances.
Crucially he is out of contract this summer, meaning Spurs (and other clubs) can open discussions with him over a free transfer in the summer.
A free transfer in the summer would be great, but, Lille could be tempted to part ways this month if Spurs were to offer a little bit of money to get the deal done earlier.
Eberechi Eze offer
While everyone is looking at Crystal Palace and wondering what happens with Marc Guehi, the talk around Ebere Eze's future has gone cold.
Tottenham were linked with a summer move for the Eagles midfielder, but were put off by the asking price. Six months on, that asking price may well have lowered slightly, although Palace would be reluctant to lose him mid-season.
Spurs could test the waters with an offer this month and see what response they get ahead of firming up interest in the summer transfer window.
