Manchester City fans unfurled a banner in support of Pep Guardiola ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester United at the Etihad.

The 53-year-old has guided the Blues to six Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph since moving to the Etihad in 2016.

In recent weeks, however, Guardiola has endured the worst streak of his managerial career as City have lost seven of their last 10 games across all competitions.

Such a poor run has seen City fall nine points behind league leaders Liverpool and tumble out of the automatic qualification places in the new-look Champions League.

But that hasn't stopped City supporters from being any less supportive of their long-serving manager, with supporters unveiling a tifo of Guardiola with the caption "more than a coach" ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby at the Etihad.

In November, Guardiola signed a new two-year deal with the club. However, he insisted he does not regret extending his terms that could take his tenure at the Etihad to over a decade.

"I would not be able to sleep – even worse than now – if I thought I was leaving when the club is in this situation. Impossible," said Guardiola earlier this week. "They might sack me, that could happen. But leaving now, in this position? No chance."

After Sunday's derby, City face Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester City before the end of 2024.
