Manchester United £150m transfer theory raised after spectacular Jude Bellingham claim
Dwight Yorke has suggested that Manchester United should look to sign Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.
The England and Los Blancos midfielder has risen to fame in recent years after a stellar debut campaign in Madrid last term. Bellingham's 23 goals across all competitions in 2023/2024 played a key role in Real's La Liga, Champions League and Spanish Super Cup wins.
The former Birmingham City star was of interest to United in 2020, before he joined Borussia Dortmund. It is said that then Reds manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called upon legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson to help persuade Bellingham to join the club.

Any deal would be extremely unlikely now or next summer - partly owing to United's PSR position - which would restrict the heavy expenditure needed to buy him. But ex-United striker Yorke has urged his former side to make a statement in the transfer market and look to bring Bellingham to Old Trafford.
"United would need £150million to have a chance of signing Jude Bellingham," he told CoinCasino.com.
"Look at United's history, every two to three years, the club would bring in a high-profile signing. I can't remember the last big signing Man United have made, maybe Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016. United need to make their rivals go; 'Oof, what a signing'.
"They need to break the bank for a big-time player, like Real Madrid do. Bellingham would be the perfect player to sign, but I'm sure he'll want to stay a few more years at Real Madrid and turn things around for them this season.
"But, Bellingham will never be the main guy at the club now, Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe are higher than him in the pecking order. It reminds me of the trio of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and Luis Figo.
"We all know Mbappe is the top guy at that club - then it's Vinicius. I think Bellingham is ranked the third-most important player at Real Madrid. He'll know that, too, he'll be sat in the dressing room with them and he knows where he is in that hierarchy at the club."
