Manchester United could solve two transfer problems with Randal Kolo Muani deal
The January transfer window is now a week old, and links with both incomings and outgoings persist. Ruben Amorim is keen to add to his Manchester United squad in his first transfer window but may first need sales to raise funds for any incomings.
One player who has been heavily linked over the last few days is Randal Kolo Muani. The 26-year-old striker has struggled to be a regular for Paris Saint-Germain so far this season.
It is reported by The Athletic that United, along with Tottenham Hotspur, are exploring the possibility of signing the striker on loan in the January window. They do, however, face competition from Serie A giants Juventus.

For United, a deal could potentially depend on the future of Marcus Rashford. The forward has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and United are open to letting him go in the current window.
While a permanent deal for Rashford would provide a huge financial boost to United, a loan deal looks the most likely, due to the player’s wages. PSG are one of the clubs to be linked with an interest in the United man, and it’s something that the club could use to their advantage.
Any negotiations for Kolo Muani could potentially include Marcus Rashford, a deal that could be beneficial to both parties. Sending Rashford to PSG could get a reduction on any loan fee demanded by the French giants, it also moves Rashford on this summer while brining in a replacement.
In effect, if United could complete the double deal, then it would solve two problems in one. It feels that Rashford needs to move away from United to regain his confidence and form.
Amorim may, however, need more attacking reinforcements if both Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, who has been linked with a return to Italy, move on in the window. Negotiating a swap deal with PSG for Kolo Muani could just be the way to go.
