Manchester United make decision on defender on transfer deadline day
Harry Amass is set to stay at Manchester United for the remainder of the season.
The Manchester Evening News reported earlier in the window that United hoped to send Amass out on loan, but a suitable loan move for the 17-year-old didn't arrive in the mid-season window.
Sources indicated Amass would only leave United if a suitable club could pitch a convincing plan for his development, and his situation will now be revisited in the summer transfer window.

Once it became clear that Amass wasn't in Erik ten Hag's plans, United placed him on a conditioning programme to gain muscle and he was prepared to leave on loan.
Amass excelled during the United States pre-season tour and travelled to Wembley for the Community Shield game, but he wasn't named in the squad having been taken for the experience.
The London-born defender was included in six matchday squads in the Premier League at the back end of last season and was tipped to make a debut this term but continued to play for the academy.
Considering Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia were unavailable, Amass would have seen the start of this season as the perfect chance to make his debut but he was overlooked by Ten Hag.
United have signed Diego Leon (17), who will join in the summer, and have signed Patrick Dorgu (20), but a source said Amass is happy in Manchester and hoping to reach the first team.
