Man United injury update: Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Willy Kambwala latest news and return dates

Manchester United have been dealt fresh injury concerns after Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay were forced off during Sunday’s dramatic FA Cup semi-final over Coventry.

Rashford was replaced by Amad Diallo on Sunday and was seen limping post-match.

Opening goalscorer McTominay was also substituted after holding his groin in discomfort while Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat missed out entirely.

United youngster Willy Kambwala is another relegated to the sidelines. The 19-year-old centre-back was absent for the semi-final, with midfielder Casemiro forced to start in defence alongside Harry Maguire.

Injury-ravaged United were 3-0 up and cruising into the final, courtesy of McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes, before Coventry sensationally responded with three late strikes to take the game into extra-time. Erik Ten Hag’s men triumphed on penalties to book a second consecutive FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City.

Rashford was substituted in second-half injury time and was spotted limping in the mixed zone after United’s victory.

Ten Hag has not commented on the forward’s fitness, leaving him at least a doubt for Wednesday’s fixture against Sheffield United.

Mason Mount

The English midfielder did not travel to Wembley on Sunday. Mount recently returned to action after four months out with a calf injury.

There has been no confirmation on the length of his absence, and the 25-year-old will hope to return to the squad soon.

Willy Kambwala

The academy prospect has impressed after covering for United’s injured centre-backs in recent weeks.

However, Kambwala was ruled out of the semi-final, meaning Casemiro was forced to start in defence, with Harry Maguire the only available centre-back. A return date for the Congo-born defender is currently unconfirmed.

Scott McTominay

McTominay returned to the starting line-up on Sunday after suffering from a minor knee injury  He opened the scoring but was replaced in extra-time by Omari Forson, after clutching his groin.

The Moroccan midfielder was also absent at Wembley after not travelling to London.

Varane has been unavailable since picking up a muscle injury against Chelsea.

Manchester United confirmed that the French World Cup winner “is aiming to be back in action before the end of the season in May”.

Luke Shaw

The left-back suffered a muscle injury against Luton in February and has not featured since. In March, Ten Hag revealed that he hoped Shaw could return by the end of the season.

In March the Dutch boss said: "I think it's going to be difficult for him this season to be available. He will fight, he's back on the pitch, but not in the team and the process had some setbacks for him and he's still going forwards really slowly and the season is coming to an end.
