Ruben Amorim admits speculation over some Manchester United players' futures could affect their form this month.

The winter transfer window is open until February 3 and United are looking to sell Marcus Rashford while Napoli have had an offer rejected for Alejandro Garnacho.

There is also uncertainty over the future of Antony, who has started only three games this season. The Brazilian, who came on at half-time in the 3-1 win against Southampton, last started a Premier League match in May.

United have four more games this month against Brighton and Fulham in the league, as well as their final two Europa League league games against Rangers and FCSB. Amorim stressed it is harder to prepare for matches in defeat than if a player is unsettled.

"They are our players," Amorim said of the United squad, "so we have control on that. We decide on that. Sometimes it's harder for the players because they have some information and you can feel it in every team. It's like that.

"For me, it's harder to prepare for the game when we lose. When we win, we can manage everything, expectations, bad mood for some players. We'll prepare the game in the same way and just focus on the next game."

When asked specifically about Antony, Amorim replied: "Like I said, I want to keep my players, I'm focused on these players. I don't know what is going to happen this window, we'll see. But he (Antony) did a good job today."

United are on the lookout for a striker should Rashford leave before deadline day in two weeks on Monday. United are yet to receive a concrete offer for Rashford, who outlined his desire for a "new challenge" four weeks ago.

Rashford, 27, is intent on moving to a club in one of Europe's five big leagues, having rebuffed offers from three Saudi Pro League outfits. The academy graduate has not played in United's past eight games.

United had earmarked Randal Kolo Muani as a possible mid-season reinforcement but any incomings are almost entirely dependent on outgoings.
