Manchester United will not face disciplinary action from the Football Association in relation to a post on their X page in the aftermath of their FA Cup third round win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, according to a report by The Times.

United beat Arsenal 5-3 on penalties to progress to the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon after the contest had finished 1-1 after 120 minutes.

United's official X page, following the conclusion of the penalty shootout, posted 'Justice', seemingly aiming a dig at the performance of referee Andy Madley, who sent-off Diogo Dalot and awarded Arsenal a second half penalty.

The Gunners were awarded a spot-kick with the contest tied at 1-1 when Harry Maguire was adjudged to have fouled Arsenal forward Kai Havertz inside the penalty area. Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir produced a brilliant save to deny Martin Odegaard.

Following the awarding of the penalty, a melee unfolded that resulted in both sets of players clashing, leaving the officials to work out exactly what had happened. However, no bookings were handed out at that particular juncture.

United were far from happy with a couple of big decisions that went against them in the first half, particularly one shortly before half-time that saw Bruno Fernandes booked for throwing his boot after being fouled by Arsenal attacker Gabriel Jesus on the edge of the Gunners' penalty area.

Replays showed that contact was made and that United should have been awarded a free-kick. Fernandes was understandably furious with the decision and his reaction let to Madley cautioning him.

United also felt aggrieved earlier in the half when Lisandro Martinez was yellow carded for a coming together with Jesus. Martinez caught the Brazilian with his elbow, making contact with his neck, but the former Manchester City ace went down holding his knee.
