Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

United will attempt to get back to winning ways after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday night, a result that represented the first loss of the Ruben Amorim era.

Arsenal scored from two corners and United will have to put their disappointing second half display behind them as they welcome an improved Nottingham Forest side to Old Trafford.

Although Forest were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City in midweek, they are enjoying an excellent season and are sixth in the table, sitting above Tottenham, Aston Villa and United.

Regarding the team news, Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo will be available for selection again after suspension, but Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are still unavailable. So here is how our writers think United should line up...

The rotation needs to be slightly reduced for today's game and United need to pick with an eye on next week's derby. Almost everyone who lined up this evening should be pencilled in to start against City a week tomorrow.

Lisandro Martinez offers balance as a left-footer and Kobbie Mainoo needs to get his season up and running. Amad has to come back in after he was mistakenly benched against Arsenal in midweek.

Forest have physical centre halves and Rasmus Hojlund may not be the ideal starting option. Picking Joshua Zirkzee could go either way but United would have game-changers to call upon.

It's a no-brainer to recall Martinez to the side and maybe it's time to give Mazraoui a rest to ensure he doesn't pick up an injury ahead of an important, hectic winter schedule. Amad must start at right-wing back and Mainoo and Ugarte would be my selection in midfield.

Mainoo performed well against Everton when he made his first appearance since recovering from a muscle injury and the youngster should make United tick against Nottingham Forest. Rashford was benched at the Emirates but should start this evening.

George Smith

After making a positive contribution during his debut against Arsenal, Yoro, if fit enough, should be considered from the start. Martinez should be recalled and start at left-sided centre-back after missing out in midweek through suspension.

Amad should be the first name on the teamsheet on current form and has to start in the right-sided wing-back berth. Mainoo, like Martinez, should be recalled after a ban and partner Ugarte in midfield. Should Yoro start, Mazraoui is an option to start at left-wing back.

In attack, Amorim should stick with Hojlund in an attempt to help him rebuild some confidence after being starved of service against Arsenal. Fernandes and Rashford can provide attacking support.
