How Manchester United should line up vs Tottenham in Carabao Cup quarter-final
Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Thursday night as Ruben Amorim looks to edge closer to a first trophy as the club's head coach.
United will also be looking to build on momentum after Sunday's stunning derby day comeback secured a 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad, with Bruno Fernandes scoring an 88th-minute penalty and Amad a 90th-minute winner.
That ended a run of two straight league defeats and United are now instead on the hunt for a third straight away win in all competitions, having beaten Viktoria Plzen before the derby success.

Amorim has some tough selection decisions ahead, however, having axed Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from his squad for the City fixture. Both will be pushing for a recall, but Rashford has since conducted an interview in which he said he wants a new challenge.

United are not about to underestimate a quarter-final and nor should they. Harry Maguire deserves to continue after United's defence improved with him back in it against City and Leny Yoro would be worthy of a recall against some of Tottenham's quicker players.
Kobbie Mainoo did decently at the Etihad and needs a start ahead of a taxing period. Manuel Ugarte is in encouraging form while Amad is undroppable on the wing. United need to avoid having two full backs starting on the wings.
Alejandro Garnacho trained on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. He also kept his mouth shut. Rashford should not play for United again and was absent as the squad departed Manchester on Wednesday.

The time to make a change in goal was probably in Plzen last week, so it makes sense to stick with Onana, the clear No.1, when a cup semi-final is on the line. In the back three, I would bring Yoro in and give De Ligt a rest.
Wing-back is always a consideration for a change given the work involved and this is a good chance to give Tyrell Malacia another start on the left, with Amad reverting to that role on the right. Casemiro can come in to midfield to partner Ugarte.
Rashford was not seen leaving Manchester with his teammates on Wednesday. If Garnacho has knuckled down he can come back in, however, playing alongside Fernandes as a No.10, with Hojlund leading the line.
