Manchester United 'make late bid' to snatch Alexis Sanchez from City this January
Manchester United have reportedly made a late bid to hijack their derby rival’s attempts to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
City have already agreed personal terms with the Chile international and have submitted a £20million bid to the Gunners for the forward.
Sanchez is thought to be keen to work with Pep Guardiola again and has understood to have no desire to renew his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
He would be free to walk away from the club in the summer but City are ready to strike a deal this January following an injury to Gabriel Jesus.

However, widespread reports on Thursday lunchtime emerged that Jose Mourinho has sanctioned a last-minute bid for the forward.
United’s bid is said to be worth £5million more than that of their near neighbour’s and a more lucrative wage packet to head to Old Trafford.
It has also been suggested that United have also offered Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal by United as a sweetener.
The Armenian international’s wages, which are thought to be around £200,000 a week, are the only stumbling block to a potential move south for the wantaway winger.
