Manchester United travel to Fulham on Sunday evening looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim's side secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday evening as Bruno Fernandes' stoppage time winner ensured United's passage to the knockout stages.

It lifted United to fifth place in the Europa League table and a win over Steaua Bucharest next Thursday will mean United move straight through to the last 16 and avoid the play-off round of the competition.

But before their trip to Romania, United's attention will revert back to the Premier League as they face a difficult trip to Fulham.

United beat Fulham 1-0 on the opening day of the Premier League season but their seasons have gone in different directions since. They now make the trip to West London seven points adrift of their opponents.

The Reds were beaten 3-1 by Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday which meant they began the weekend in 13th place.

They are currently 11 points adrift of the European places and 14 points adrift of the top four and if they have plans of resurrecting their league season it simply has to start against the Cottagers.

Amorim has some big decisions to make with his starting XI and that starts with his choice of goalkeeper. Andre Onana has allowed errors to creep back into his game in recent weeks and his performance against Brighton last weekend led to legitimate questions over whether he should keep his place in the side.

His understudy Altay Bayindir impressed in an FA Cup win over Arsenal and didn't do much wrong on Thursday when he started the win over Rangers. Onana should keep his place for now, but has to regain the consistency he displayed for much of 2024.

Matthijs De Ligt is struggling with a little bit of a knock so a back three of Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez will probably start at Craven Cottage.

Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot will occupy the wing-back roles, with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo continuing their partnership in the middle of midfield.

Bruno Fernandes remains one of the first names on the team sheet and alongside Alejandro Garnacho - who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford - will occupy one of the two attacking midfield spots.

Joshua Zirkzee will likely get the nod up front ahead of Rasmus Hojlund.

Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez; Amad, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Fernandes, Garnacho; Zirkzee
