Manchester United are reportedly set to launch a second bid for Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu.

The club are looking to reinforce their left-back options given Luke Shaw's ongoing injury issues. A host of names have been drawn up as possible options including Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell and Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves.

However, Dorgu appears to be the one attracting the most interest from the Reds. Give Me Sport reckon the club are set to test Lecce's resolve with an 'increased bid' for the 20-year-old.

It's thought the Serie A side are seeking close to €40million (£33m) to part ways with the Denmark international. The Athletic meanwhile, suggest United have indicated a 'willingness' to go to €30m (£25m).

Following an initial meeting with United, Lecce president Sticchi Damiani spoke to Sky Italia this week and said: "The meeting was cordial and went well. For us, sitting down at the table with Manchester United to talk about a player who comes from our Primavera is a satisfaction, it means that the club's growth path is notable.

"We explained to them that our desire at the moment is to keep the team unchanged, keeping all the big names, Dorgu in particular. We made it clear that for us this year is an important appointment with history, we could achieve the third historic salvation. Although we are flattered by their offer, the priority for us is the sporting result."

Elsewhere, the Sun have suggested United are eyeing a shock move for Jack Grealish who has struggled at Manchester City since leaving Aston Villa for a £100m British-record fee in 2021. The 29-year-old has only made six starts this season, scoring just once in all competitions across 21 matches.

Ealier this month, Pep Guardiola slammed the former Aston Villa captain for his recent form. "I want the Jack that won the Treble," he said. "But I try to be honest with myself for that. He has to compete with himself. Savinho is in better shape and everything than Jack and that's why I played Savinho. I know that he can do it because I saw him. I saw his level and I want that, every single training session and every single game."

The Sun add his situation at the Etihad is being 'monitored' by the United hierarchy along with three other Premier League clubs.
