Manchester United stance on Randal Kolo Muani and Nuno Mendes
Manchester United have not ruled out the possibility of signing Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
United considered signing Muani, 26, from Eintracht Frankfurt in summer 2023 but opted to buy Rasmus Hojlund instead. Muani has only started twice for PSG this season.
The France international has managed only two club goals this term but has continued to be selected by outgoing France coach Didier Deschamps. Muani started in five of France's six Nations League matches during the autumn internationals and scored three times.

United are open to recruiting a striker amid their long-standing goalscoring issues. United have a goal difference of -5 in the Premier League and have only scored 23 goals in 20 games.
Hojlund joined United from Atalanta for a fee rising to £72million in July 2023 but has managed only two Premier League goals this season. Joshua Zirkzee, who arrived from Bologna for £36.5m in the summer, has scored three times in the league.
United have remained supportive of Zirkzee, despite his struggles and 33rd-minute substitution in the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. Zirkzee has been linked with Juventus.
Muani's club teammate, Nuno Mendes, has been linked with United but the club are not actively targeting the left back this month. Mendes, 22, played under United head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting.
United are expected to be in the market for a left back in the summer but Mendes is starting regularly for PSG and is under contract until 2026.
Left back Tyrell Malacia returned from a 550-day absence with a knee injury in November but he has been substituted at half-time in three of his four starts. Luke Shaw is currently recovering from another hamstring injury and has not started for United since February 18.
