Manchester United starting XI vs Liverpool confirmed as three changes made
Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo have been recalled to Manchester United's starting team to face Liverpool on Sunday.
United were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle in their last game of 2024 and have the tough task of facing rivals Liverpool, who sit at the top of the league, in their first clash of 2025.
The fixture at Anfield was in doubt due to difficult weather conditions but it will go ahead as planned and Ruben Amorim will be desperate for his side to avoid an embarrassing result.

Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof are sidelined with injuries. Fernandes and Ugarte have returned to the squad after serving suspensions against Newcastle and Mainoo has also been recalled to the starting XI after starting the defeat to the Magpies on the bench.
Rashford and Godwill Kukonki have dropped out of the squad and Amorim has picked Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot in the wing-back roles again.
