Manchester United suffer another injury blow as player storms down tunnel vs Tottenham
Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury concern after Victor Lindelof was forced off during the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur.
With the game just heading into first-half stoppage time, the play was stopped as Lindelof dropped to the floor resigned to his injury. A member of the medical team came on to administer treatment to the Swede but it was clear the centre-back was not going to be able to continue, as he stormed down the tunnel in devastation.
Veteran centre-back Jonny Evans has come on to replace the stricken defender who has suffered a season of injuries for the Reds. Lindelof had to wait until October to make his first appearance for the Reds this campaign.

The Swedish centre-back had been tipped for the exit door at Old Trafford in the summer but an injury believed to be to his toe scuppered any possible deal. Upon returning in October, Lindelof has been used sparingly in the Premier League, having to wait until the cup matches for his opportunity.
Lindelof's deal at United is set to expire at the end of the season and it is not expected to be extended. For Ruben Amorim, this is the second player in as many games to be forced off in the first half through injury.
On Sunday, Mason Mount similarly dropped to the turf off the ball after suffering what appeared to be a muscular problem. It is not yet clear when Mount will be back on the pitch.
