Manchester United vs West Ham LIVE! Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today
Manchester United vs West Ham LIVE!
Manchester United brushed aside West Ham with a comfortable 3-0 win in the Premier League on Sunday. Alejandro Garnacho netted a second-half double after Rasmus Hojlund maintained his impressive recent scoring streak on his 21st birthday as Erik ten Hag's side continued their early 2024 resurgence at Old Trafford, but will have concerns over Lisandro Martinez's latest injury setback.
Hojlund has now notched in his last four games in a row - becoming the youngest United player ever to achieve that feat - and in five of the last six to recover from a notably slow start to his career in English football and begin to justify that hefty £72million summer price tag. United's latest win - on a day when they paid emotional tribute to the victims of the Munich Air Disaster ahead of the 66th anniversary on Tuesday - sees them leapfrog both Brighton and West Ham into sixth place in the table ahead of a tough trip to Aston Villa next weekend.
West Ham suffered their first top-flight defeat since early December, but have still yet to win a single game across any competitions so far in this calendar year. Follow Man Utd vs West Ham reaction live below, featuring expert analysis from Standard Sport's Malik Ouzia.

United continue their early 2024 resurgence and now leapfrog both Brighton and West Ham into sixth spot in the Premier League table.
It's West Ham's first top-flight loss since early December, but they have still to win a single game in any competition so far this season.

Ten Hag now sends on the fit-again Victor Lindelof and Antony with this game wrapped up.
Off go Shaw and Hojlund.
GOAL! Manchester United 3-0 West Ham | Alejandro Garnacho 84'
15:44 , George Flood
84 mins: Game, set and match!
It's another costly error from Phillips, who is caught in possession by a combination of McTominay and Hojlund.
McTominay strides forward and picks out Garnacho, who is falling as he arrows a low effort past Fabianski and into the far bottom corner.
Another moment to forget for the new Hammers loanee.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:43 , George Flood
82 mins: Two important interventions there from Zouma inside the West Ham box to see off a Garnacho cross, then to thwart Fernandes.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:42 , George Flood
78 mins: Sarcastic cheers from the Manchester United fans as City loanee Phillips - who was booed coming on - miscues well over on the rebound for West Ham, who are running out of time and ideas at Old Trafford.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:39 , George Flood
74 mins: Onana has just wiped out Rashford as Zouma steers well wide following another West Ham corner.
The Red Devils could have scored again on the break before that, but the final ball for Garnacho wasn't good enough.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:33 , George Flood
71 mins: West Ham pose real danger with two quick-fire corners, the first of which is seen away by substitute Varane.
Kalvin Phillips and Maxwel Cornet are coming on for West Ham now.
Off go Coufal and Soucek.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:31 , George Flood
69 mins: What a ball from Alvarez over the head of Maguire to release Bowen, who is denied by a goal-saving challenge from Dalot at the last!
Martinez is now lying back down on the ground and won't be able to continue.
He limps off, replaced by Raphael Varane.
Another huge blow for United over the Argentine, who has already missed so much of the season through injury - and a significant chunk at the end of the last campaign.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham

Standard Sport's Malik Ouzia
You're seeing the result of West Ham's failure to sign a winger last month laid bare here.
David Moyes hasn't got any attacking options on his bench that he trusts.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:28 , George Flood
68 mins: Relief for United. though as Martinez gets to his feet after some initial treatment and looks to be walking okay.
In fact, he's quickly back into the fray.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:27 , George Flood
66 mins: A real concern for United here as Martinez does well to shield the ball out of play under pressure from Coufal, who battles away against the Argentine.
Coufal falls and lands on the leg of Martinez, who looks to jar his knee and immediately points to the bench in some pain.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham

Here is that second United goal that may well prove just too much of a hurdle for West Ham to overcome...

63 mins: Erik ten Hag looks to his bench for the first time this afternoon with just over 25 minutes to play.
Kobbie Mainoo is withdrawn and replaced by Scott McTominay.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:23 , George Flood
61 mins: Almost another great chance for United, but Garnacho can't find the final pass to set up Rashford.
West Ham are looking very vulnerable at the back now.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:19 , George Flood
58 mins: It's a big cliche of course, but the next goal really is so crucial here.
Another United effort surely kills the game, while a West Ham score would likely set some familiar nerves jangling around Old Trafford.
Garnacho takes a long pass down the right in his stride and cuts back for Fernandes, whose first-time strike is blocked by Aguerd.
The loose ball falls to Rashford, who slices high into the stands.

What an opportunity that really was for West Ham.
Emerson's been having a terrific season but that really was a shocking decision not to square it.
And such a costly one!
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:16 , George Flood
53 mins: More West Ham pressure before Dalot fires narrowly off target for United.
The Hammers still won't lie down though and Ward-Prowse tees up Emerson, who can't find an effective finish and it's saved by Onana.
Manchester United 2-0 West Ham
15:14 , George Flood
50 mins: West Ham have to be really careful now as Rashford cuts in incisively off the left and fires narrowly wide of the back post.
GOAL! Manchester United 2-0 West Ham | Alejandro Garnacho 49'
15:10 , George Flood
49 mins: United double their lead less than a minute after that dreadful Emerson miss!
Garnacho's strike takes a huge deflection in the box off Aguerd, wrong-footing Fabianski, whose first job after coming on is to pick the ball out of the net.
An uphill battle now for the Hammers.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
15:09 , George Flood
48 mins: Oh dear, Emerson.
The Italian seizes possession from a sluggish Maguire and races through on goal, electing to shoot with Bowen and Ward-Prowse in the middle and hacking a hopeless effort well wide while leaning back.
Woeful.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
15:05 , George Flood
Back underway at Old Trafford!
Fabianski has indeed replaced Areola.
No changes from Ten Hag.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
15:03 , George Flood
Lukasz Fabianski is warming up in goal for West Ham in full kit at the half-time break.
Looks like he's coming on for Areola, who did seem to pick up a knock in the first period after being accidentally caught by his own team-mate in Zouma.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
15:00 , George Flood
13 (!) shots in that first half from West Ham, but only a couple on target.
United have had four in contrast and only just shade the possession battle.
West Ham may rightly still feel confident that they can get a positive result from this game.
They haven't won a Premier League game at Old Trafford since 2007, when Carlos Tevez famously struck to keep them up at Sheffield United's expense and ruin United's title party.

Half-time
Birthday boy Rasmus Hojlund's fourth goal in as many games and his fifth in his last six appearances is the difference at the interval.
But West Ham have arguably been the better side, despite trailing.
They are seeing plenty of the ball and creating chances, but lack that crucial bit of creativity without Lucas Paqueta.
All to play for after the break.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:48 , George Flood
45 mins: Just one minute added at the end of the first half.
Fernandes and Garnacho combine to tee up Hojlund, who thunders into the side netting from a difficult angle.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:47 , George Flood
43 mins: West Ham are pressing for the equaliser as half-time approaches, with Emerson's cross from the byline steered away by Maguire before an eager Ward-Prowse drives a first-time effort well wide.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:45 , George Flood
40 mins: West Ham are seeing plenty of the ball still in dangerous areas coming forward, but they can't unlock a solid defence well-marshalled by Martinez.
Had they released Johnson in so much space a few moments ago, he would have been in.
They earn another corner and a near-post header from Alvarez looks to be heading straight to Kudus, but for an unfortunate deflection off the unwitting Bowen that changes the course of the ball and sees it go safe.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham

Standard Sport's Malik Ouzia
This is where West Ham really miss the craft of Lucas Paqueta, as any team would in fairness.
They've had spells of decent possession but don't really look like carving United open.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:41 , George Flood
36 mins: Soucek fells Rashford to halt a United counter-attack and becomes the first player to enter referee Andy Madley's notebook.
The Czech can have few complaints.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:40 , George Flood
A really good effort this from Hojlund, who is starting to properly show his huge potential at Old Trafford now after such a sluggish start and long wait to get among the goals...

Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:38 , George Flood
33 mins: Plenty of decent attacking build-up play from both sides now, but they are just lacking that final ball.
Hojlund finds space in the middle and comes forward but can't pick out Shaw, while Martinez then races out for an important block at the other end.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:34 , George Flood
29 mins: West Ham's defence stand up to more scrutiny at one end, before at the other Bowen stands up a nice little cross for Kudus, whose difficult header is held by Onana.

Standard Sport's Malik Ouzia
I was a bit surprised to see Nayef Aguerd's name on the teamsheet today.
Morocco were only knocked out of the AFCON on Tuesday night and initially it was expected he might not be back in training until tomorrow, but clearly Moyes was keen to get him back in the side ASAP.
Not great defending for that goal, though.
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham
14:30 , George Flood
26 mins: West Ham have really upped the ante since going behind, Johnson seeing one shot blocked by Martinez and another vicious one steered away by Onana.
Zouma also went down there after a clash with Hojlund at a corner, but there was nothing given and he's now back up.
GOAL! Manchester United 1-0 West Ham | Rasmus Hojlund 23'
14:26 , George Flood
23 mins: Another game, another goal for the suddenly prolific birthday boy!
Casemiro with good strength to win the ball back for United, with Hojlund then showing lovely quick feet to bamboozle Aguerd before rifling an effort beyond Onana and into the bottom corner.
The fourth game in a row in which the Dane has scored. Five in six.
He's well and truly settled in now.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

It's obviously not ideal having Ben Johnson as one of your starting wingers, but it still looks a much more natural fit than the crowded midfield Moyes opted for against Bournemouth on Thursday night.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:22 , George Flood
18 mins: The not-so-subtle Martinez clatters into Kudus to give West Ham a free-kick in a very dangerous position.
Up steps set-piece specialist Ward-Prowse just outside the D, but it's slammed into the wall - to ironic cheers from the home fans.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:21 , George Flood
17 mins: Johnson gets forward for West Ham but there's no one there to seize on his squared ball across the box, with Onana then too casual as he lofts a clearance straight out of play.
Here come West Ham again and Soucek's strike from just outside the box is deflected wide of the near post by Maguire with Onana at full stretch.
Suspicions of handball against Soucek there, but not given.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:18 , George Flood
15 mins: United sustain their first real period of pressure, with a couple of crosses flying into the box intended for Hojlund and handball shouts waved away.
Zouma thwarts a dangerous run from Rashford to concede a last-ditch corner, Areola then athletically keeping out a looping Bruno Fernandes strike and Dalot aiming a second effort straight at the Hammers 'keeper.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

It's been a decent start from West Ham, this.
Just looking at the physical makeup of the two teams, they are surely going to be a big threat at set-pieces all afternoon.
Harry Maguire aside, there's not loads of height in the home side.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:16 , George Flood
12 mins: Garnacho drifts too easily away from Ward-Prowse and is then quickly crunched by Soucek, though that looked worse than it was.
Just a free-kick, nothing more.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:14 , George Flood
10 mins: Chance for West Ham!
Soucek's header from the corner deflects off Alvarez and is parried away by an alert Onana.
An early warning that for United.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:13 , George Flood
9 mins: Good tracking back from Emerson there to snuff out the threat posed by Garnacho.
This has been a rather slow and sleepy start at Old Trafford, United yet to really get going.
West Ham are seeing more of the ball and Johnson earns a corner on the far side.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:10 , George Flood
7 mins: Emerson charges inside off the West Ham left and finds Bowen, whose return pass to the Italian through the legs of Martinez is gathered safely by Onana.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:09 , George Flood
6 mins: Shaw combines well with Rashford down the United left and his deflected cross loops high into the air before being snatched by Areola under pressure from Hojlund, who is celebrating his 21st birthday today.
Manchester United 0-0 West Ham
14:07 , George Flood
3 mins: A scrappy start at Old Trafford with both sides seeing the ball and no early chances to speak of just yet.
The Hammers hang up a cross from the right into the box but it falls safe.
Bruno Fernandes is trying to pick the lock at the other end.

David Moyes insists that advanced talks over a new contract with West Ham will continue now the transfer window has closed.
The Scot sees his current deal expire in the summer and wasn't initially expected to be offered an extension, though now it's considered a formality after another strong Hammers campaign that has stalled somewhat in the early weeks of 2024.
"We'll get back on it now the window is shut,” Moyes said of talks over his contract on Friday.
“We're well down the line and moving on with it. We'll pick that up again in the next few weeks."

Kalvin Phillips dropped as West Ham make two changes
13:23 , George Flood
It's two changes to the West Ham team that drew with Bournemouth, meanwhile.
Nayef Aguerd's return from the Africa Cup of Nations sees him resume his centre-back partnership with captain Kurt Zouma, consigning Konstantinos Mavropanos back to the bench.
Vladimir Coufal does start after suspension, but it's alongside Ben Johnson rather than instead of him.
Kalvin Phillips is moved to the bench instead.
There are suggestions on social media that Johnson is playing out wide today in a 4-3-3...
Maguire replaces Varane in only Manchester United change
13:15 , George Flood
So Erik ten Hag makes just the one change to the Manchester United team that produced that last-gasp 4-3 win at Wolves on Thursday night.
It comes in defence, with Harry Maguire making his first start since mid-December next to Lisandro Martinez, who is passed fit after that Molineux scare.
Raphael Varane drops to the bench, where he is joined by the fit-again Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat.
The return of the latter duo means that both Jonny Evans and Willy Kambwala drop out of the matchday squad.
Still no Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Mason Mount.
West Ham lineup
13:01 , George Flood
Starting XI: Areola, Johnson, Zouma, Aguerd, Coufal, Soucek, Alvarez, Emerson Palmieri, Kudus, Ward-Prowse, Bowen
Subs: Fabianski, Cresswell, Phillips, Mavropanos, Cornet, Ings, Ogbonna, Mubama, Scarles.

David Moyes faces Kalvin Phillips dilemma
12:54 , George Flood
David Moyes must choose whether or not to throw Vladimir Coufal straight back into the West Ham starting XI today at the expense of Ben Johnson, while he also has a big decision to make over Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips.
Moyes dispensed with his usual caution when it comes to new signings by thrusting the England midfielder straight into the team for Thursday's 1-1 home draw with Bournemouth, and was rewarded with a dreadful error that was responsible for the Hammers falling behind early.
Moyes has spoken of the need to be careful with Phillips' minutes due to his lack of football at City this term, but he'll also be eager to make the most of a player he really likes while he has him.
If Phillips is dropped to the bench today, then West Ham could well revert to a 4-3-3 system with Danny Ings leading the attack.
The late departures of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals coupled with no further signings and the continued injury absences of Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio would appear to leave Moyes very short on attacking depth for the remainder of the campaign.
Predicted lineups
12:48 , George Flood
Official team news is on the way very shortly, but here's how Standard Sport sees the two sides lining up at Old Trafford this afternoon...
Predicted Man Utd XI: Onana; Dalot, Maguire, Varane, Shaw; Mainoo, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
Predicted West Ham XI: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson; Soucek, Alvarez, Ward-Prowse; Bowen, Ings, Kudus
Bruno Fernandes on Munich anniversary
12:46 , George Flood
Here's Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes speaking ahead of the Munich tributes...
“We know the demands of playing for Manchester United. It’s a legacy which is in the club," he said.
“It’s a responsibility for everyone: managers, players, everyone involved in the staff to play in a certain way. But also to pay the most respect possible to those who have been at the club in the past.
“We want to pay our respects to those involved. They built the story of the club and, after that, even more. When bad things happen in your life you get tighter to those close to you.
“It’s going to be 66 years since the disaster and everyone is aware what was built after that and the whole situation around the club before and after."

Ten Hag driven by the legacy of the 'Busby Babes'
12:30 , George Flood
On a week where academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo emphatically underlined his enormous potential with that stunning late winner at Wolves, Erik ten Hag also insisted that one of his biggest driving factors at Manchester United was to continue their established legacy of developing young players, as Sir Matt Busby famously did with the iconic 'Busby Babes'.
“I’ll always be driven by this motivation and that's one of the reasons why I'm here, to develop young players," he said.
"You need patience but also you need the right structures.
"You need capable coaches in the Academy about for football but also about other sites, for personalities.
"And you have to develop and yeah to bring young players in is a big advantage because they know the DNA of the club.”
Ten Hag praises Manchester United legacy
12:25 , George Flood
The sad passing of the iconic Sir Bobby Charlton back in October means that this will be the first anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster with no living survivors from the disaster that killed eight Manchester United players when their plane returning from a European Cup match in Belgrade crashed on the runway at Munich-Riem Airport.
"Munich tells a lot about the legacy of this club and the DNA of this club," Erik ten Hag said this week.
"Having big setbacks, tragedy, but fighting back with young players who should express resilience.
"Munich was a disaster for the club. How the club recovered from it, how individuals recovered from it, it was great.
"From such a disaster, to survive it and a couple of years later you're lifting the biggest trophy in European football, that is immense.
"We should always remember this. This is the legacy of why Manchester United exists - and what we should match as a club, as a team, as individuals."
Manchester United pay tribute to victims of Munich Air Disaster
12:08 , George Flood
Manchester United will continue their tributes to the victims of the Munich Air Disaster today.
This fixture is the closest to the 66th anniversary of the disaster, which tragically claimed the lives of 23 people on February 6, 1958.
Erik ten Hag will lay a commemorative wreath before kick-off at Old Trafford, with black armbands and corner flags also on display.
Club flags are flying at half-mast, with The Flowers of Manchester set to be played as the teams walk out and a banner also unfurled in the Lower Stretford End.
A fan-led service is being held underneath the Munich memorial plaque right now, while families of the victims are attending today's game as guests of the club.
