Manor Solomon wants to help Leeds United grab all three points against Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday night and make amends for his costly mistake in the reverse fixture.

Despite being the dominant team back in September’s meeting at Elland Road, United lost the clash 1-0. Luca Koleosho’s 18th-minute strike, sparked by Solomon slipping on the ball, was enough to separate the sides.

That is the only home game Leeds have lost all season so far. Solomon still rues that moment but believes that if United put in the same performance on Monday as they did back against promotion rivals Burnley in September, they will end up the victors.

“I remember this game, especially because I slipped and it cost us a goal,” said Solomon of the reverse game versus the Clarets at home. “But yeah, I think we were the better team when Burnley played here. We lost the game, but we were the better side.

“We controlled the game. We got many chances, which we didn't take advantage of. But hopefully if we make the same game as a few months ago, I think we're going to win this game.”

Solomon is in the best form of his Leeds stay so far with two goals and three assists in his last four matches. United boss Daniel Farke has called on all of his attacking players to be clinical against Burnley given their defensive record this season.

Scott Parker’s side have conceded just nine goals in 28 Championship matches, with goalkeeper James Trafford currently on a six-game clean sheet streak in the league. He has recorded 18 blanks overall, two more than Illan Meslier.

Despite the stern test ahead of United, Solomon says Leeds will go for the three points rather than focusing on not losing the contest. The winger added: “I’m in good form and just want to help the team.

“Of course, we have a really big game on Monday, but each and every game is a big game for us. Of course when you play Burnley away, one of the contenders to win the league or to get promoted, it's an even bigger game.

“But three points is required. We want to do it that away at Burnley. We don't want to come just to get a good result that will keep us in the top two. We want to come and win this game.”
