Marcus Rashford breaks silence on future amid wish to leave Manchester United
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has denied he has held discussions with an agency to try and engineer a transfer this month.
Rashford, 27, said two weeks ago he is ready for "a new challenge and the next steps" away from United two days after he was dropped from the squad for their Manchester derby victory at City.
The forward could soon leave the club, with the winter window open until February 3. Rashford is represented by his brother, Dwaine Maynard, and used his Instagram account to shoot down suggestions he had held discussions with the Stellar agency.

Rashford wrote on an Instagram Story: "Been a lot of false stories written over past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous - never met with any agency and don't have any plans to."
Stellar represent Rashford's teammate Kobbie Mainoo and count Jack Grealish, Ivan Toney and Eduardo Camavinga among their clients.
Rashford has largely stayed silent since conducting an interview with Henry Winter at Button Lane Primary School on December 17, other than to highlight his visit to Button Lane and wish his followers a Merry Christmas and a happy new year in three separate Instagram posts.
Maynard runs DN May Sports Management and closed their X account after mistakenly uploading a post that was intended for Rashford's personal profile on the social media platform.
United coach Ruben Amorim recalled Rashford to the matchday squad for the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday night but the academy graduate was an unused substitute.
Rashford signed a £325,000-a-week five-year contract with United in July 2023 but has only scored 15 goals for the club since and friction developed between him and the matchgoers long before his derby day snub.
