Marcus Rashford handed wildcard Man United transfer option amid AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund links
Marcus Rashford could be set to leave Manchester United with one club legend recommending a surprise destination for the England international.
A few weeks ago, Rashford expressed his desire for a ‘new challenge’ from the club he’s been at since he was seven years old.
Over the past few days, Rashford has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan with his brother and agent Dwaine Maynard supposedly speaking to the Italian side. Germany’s Borussia Dortmund and Catalan club Barcelona have also been linked.

The 27-year-old has started 12 games for his boyhood club this season, and following years of ups and downs, he wants out and former United defender Jaap Stam has identified a wildcard destination.
When Speaking to BoyleSports about Premier League betting, Stam said “Playing for Ajax would be great for Marcus Rashford, they play with possession, and they are known for raising players up and giving them confidence.
“The quality of the Dutch league is lower than the Premier League so it would be easier for him to adapt.
“However, I think he is too big a name to be playing for Ajax, he needs to play for a side that gives him confidence but also with players that can help him.’’
However, Stam does hope Rashford performs a U-turn and stays at the club he’s scored 87 goals for.
“I do hope that he stays at Manchester United, he can still have so much value and has a very high potential to win more trophies with the club.”
