Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford looks more likely to depart the club than stay in the January transfer window with a number of teams interested.

The striker has admitted that he would consider a move away from Old Trafford. After being axed by Ruben Amorim from his squad this season, Rashford hasn't played for the Reds since the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen on December 12.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Rashford since the January transfer window open. With uncertainty over his long-term future at Old Trafford, the England international could be likely to depart on loan.

Barcelona move

Barcelona entered the race for the 27-year-old with reports they will go 'all out' to bring him to the Nou Camp. SPORT claim that sporting director Deco has decided a move would be viable this window.

However, as is the case with any potential deal, Barca will have to free-up space in their salary to afford Rashford.

Agent visits

Rashford's agent and brother, Dwaine Maynard, reportedly flew to Italy the meet representatives at Milan over a potential half-season loan. Sky Italy claim the Serie A side have explored the possibility of a loan with an option to buy.

Italy interest

Serie A sides AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus have all been linked with a loan move for Rashford. Juve have seemed to be the most likeliest, though Thiago Motta's men do also like Joshua Zirkzee.

Rashford rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in hope of staying in Europe and giving himself the best chance of playing at the 2026 World Cup.

Amorim questions advisors

Amorim went on record to question the choices of those close to Marcus Rashford after he spoke to journalist Henry Winter about making a fresh start somewhere else. "It's a hard situation," he told Sky Sports in December. "I understand these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player.

"They chose to do the interview as it is not just Marcus."

Speaking ahead of the defeat to Wolves, Amorim denied talk of Rashford's future was a distraction. "Some guys have a big responsibility here because they have been here for a long time," he said.

"If you have big talents, [we need] big performances, big responsibility, big engagement to push everybody forward in this moment. Like any other player, [we want him to be] the best he can be.

"This is maybe one of the lowest moments in our club. We have to face it and be strong."

Rashford's stance

Speaking before Christmas, Rashford spoke out on his future. "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps," Rashford, who has been at the club for almost 20 years, told Winter during a visit to his former primary school.

"When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me."

He added: "It's disheartening to be left out of a derby but it's happened, we won the game so let's move on. It's disappointing but I'm also someone as I've got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I'm available."
